Ulverston is a lovely South Lakeland market town, well-known for its cobbled streets, situated on the Lake District Peninsulas. With many tarns, lakes, villages and fantastic countryside within a short drive, it is also the start, or finish, of the famous Cumbrian Way.

Throughout the year Ulverston has a varied calandar of festivals and cultural events: the evening lantern parade in the autumn, a Dickens' Christmas weekend where you can peruse the Xmas market stalls and sample the mulled wine,
St George's Day with a dragon chase through the historic streets, as well as markets featuring local food producers on Thursdays and Saturdays.

Also the coast is only minutes away with spectacular isolated beaches and magnificent sea views.
